YOUR WEDDING GIFT

So everyone is happy you are getting married. They want to come and be a part of your special day and help make it memorable. Sometimes, they may want to bring you gifts.

Many of us have coolers of different sizes, shapes and colours given to our parents as wedding gifts stored away in our homes. If not coolers then wine, water or juice glasses. Now, I’m very sure we’ve looked at those old dusty boxes a number of times and thought to ourselves: “I certainly do not want that”. Enough of those kind of gifts! I know most if not all of us, if given a choice, will prefer to select our gifts or tell our guests what we really want them to get us.

I’ve attended a couple of weddings in which the couple had a gift list on a website. In a few of these, there was a notification card in the wedding invite. The notification card is a little card with the web address where the guests can go and decide what gifts to get the couple from their gift list. After all, it doesn’t cost anything to have a blog to serve that purpose.

I have come across this link: http://www.mygiftregistry.com.ng . With MyGiftRegistry NG, you get to create your gift list, share your list with your guests via social network and email, then they can purchase the gifts and the gifts are delivered to your doorstep!! They also offer gift card options for couples who would like to add to their gift list big items so that guests can get the gift card towards the purchase of such big items.

Now this is exactly what I’m talking about! Ain’t nobody got time for gift items that won’t be used in years. Right people?

Thanks a lot Folayemi Coker of MyGiftRegistry NG.

  1. I won’t tell you anything new, but this is the same with everything in life.
You’d think history teaches us at least anything, but alas.
Disagree if you will but the world is changing, and we have no control over it.
For instance, If only Barack had any balls to put Putin to his place, but it seems like it’s never happening, welcome WW3.
    A profound post, thanks!
